Project Background

KTSP have diverse revenue streams from venue hiring, venue F&B, venue commercial rights and hospitality, retail, carpark, casual leasing, to community cash hire and community sports programmes.

Motiv-Digital implemented Oracle NetSuite as a unified financial and operational platform, integrating data from each business unit’s existing operating systems. Rather than replacing these specialized systems, NetSuite seamlessly connects with them to streamline workflows, enhance visibility, and empower data-driven decision-making across KTSP’s multi-faceted operations.

Project Key Focus Areas

Optimizing Diverse Revenue Streams
KTSP operates multiple business units including the Kai Tak Stadium, the Kai Tak Arena, the Youth Sports Ground, Kai Tak Malls and other facilities.  Each unit generates distinct revenue streams and carries different cost structures whilst there are overheads supporting the entire Precinct.  As a new venue, the finance team was looking for an efficient way in order to manage income and costs.

Synchronizing the Standalone Systems
Given the nature of the business, unique and dedicated systems and processes were put in place to operate the Precinct, for example, an Event Management System for event procurement, a Booking System for community casual hiring and community sports programme enrolment, a Leasing System for retail leasing, a Carpark Management System for car parking, a Facilities Management System for asset maintenance. The financial reporting for income and expenses from these units needed to be integrated and synchronized with the company’s accounting and finance system.

Automation on Manual Processes
Prior to Oracle NetSuite implementation, many financial and operational processes were managed manually, including extensive use of Excel spreadsheets for tracking income, expenses, inventory, and sales across various departments.

Supporting Decision-making via Real-Time Data and Reporting
Decision-making was hampered by delays or inconsistencies in data flow across departments. Timely insights into venue booking allocations, sales trends, financial performance, and customer preferences were lacking.

Our Approach

Motiv-Digital began its engagement with KTSP through a comprehensive business discovery phase led by Project Director Ricky, who collaborated with key departments to assess goals, processes, and system challenges. This phase enabled the team to identify integration needs and design a clear digital transformation roadmap.

Following discovery, consultants Mila, Timothy, Cassie, Serena, and Kieran implemented Oracle NetSuite to unify departmental financial data, streamline reporting, and enhance interdepartmental workflows. The platform greatly improved visibility, control, and overall operational efficiency.

At the same time, the client contributed valuable ideas that helped drive meaningful process improvements. Through close interaction and continuous communication, Motiv-Digital and KTSP established a highly collaborative partnership that ensured strong alignment between daily operations and long-term strategic goals.

Post go-live, Motiv-Digital continued to provide proactive support and ongoing system enhancements, including user training, performance monitoring, and functional upgrades. These efforts ensured KTSP’s ERP platform remained robust, efficient, and scalable to support future growth. Through this continued partnership, KTSP has sustained its digital transformation momentum and continued to realise greater value from its system investment.

Key Outcomes

Streamlined Operations
Oracle NetSuite brought together distinct revenue streams like financial accounting, order processing, and retail operations into a unified cloud platform. This initial phase has already reduced manual work, minimized data errors, and improved workflow efficiency. While automation and integration are still progressing, these early gains lay a strong foundation for continued streamlining and optimization in partnership with Motiv-Digital.

Enhanced Decision-Making
With role-based dashboards, customizable reports, and embedded analytics, management now gains timely visibility into sales trends, operational performance, and financial health. These insights have begun to strengthen data-backed decision-making. As integration deepens, further enhancements are expected to deliver even greater alignment between day-to-day operations and long-term strategic goals.
