Project Background
Prior to Oracle NetSuite, BSL Oilfield Services was hampered by an outdated system that created operational inefficiencies and errors. It was difficult to accurately track real-time asset inventory or integrate with modern supply chain technologies like RFID, forcing heavy manual effort. Furthermore, the system could not handle Malaysia’s complex tax regulations, leading to compliance risks, customs delays, and the need for additional manpower for manual work and cross-checking—highlighting the critical need for an integrated ERP solution.

BSL Oilfield Services’ core business revolves around offshore equipment rentals. The legacy system was unable to effectively manage inventory status or track the number of available asset, leading to frequent inaccuracies.
